Love,

Goodreads

Do you love The Mindy Project? Did you enjoy Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then there’s a 100% chance that you will like Why Not Me?. That’s just the math, guys.

I’m a huge fan of autobiographies by female comedians (The Bedwetter, Bossypants, Yes Please, and the like), so I had been waiting for Mindy’s sophomore effort with the excitement of a 6-year-old on Christmas Day and I was not disappointed. Her first book was good, though I didn’t find it terribly relatable, but Why Not Me? shows growth and a knack for turning bad experiences into charming anecdotes. Her new book introduces a wiser, more mature, and more personal Mindy Kaling with some empowering messages to share.

At 240 pages it’s a very fast read, which I always like because it makes me feel accomplished and brings me that much closer to completing my Goodreads challenge. Looking for a quick excuse to pat yourself on the back? Why not Why Not Me?

All in all, it was a nice, light read that you can recommend to the moms at your book club or your angsty teenage niece. It’s for everyone!

P.S. Both of her book titles are questions. Interesting?
